Keeping our Homes Safe for Our Children

As Singapore fights against COVID-19, we are starting to feel the negative effects of the pandemic. Jobs are lost, wages are cut, and these have caused increased levels of stress and tension among family members. The Police revealed a 22% increase in family violence related reports in the first month since the circuit breaker started on 7 April. As a result, some children may find themselves in unsafe situations at home. As educators, friends, relatives, neighbours, parents or caregivers, we can all play our part to protect children from harm. Here is a set of resources from the Singapore Children’s Society to help us keep our homes safe for our children.
